On 12 May 2021, the European SME Day will be celebrated, and in commemoration of this day we have decided to provide, from our experience, small keys to achieve business success, which have made us today a leading company in Europe in the packaging of water in cartons.
Ly Company was born in 2016 in Alhaurin de la Torre, Malaga.
It was born with the vision of minimising the climate impact of single-use packaging.
To do so, it was necessary to create a product that would reduce the consumption of plastic, which was overflowing, and to bet on sustainable and renewable raw materials.
We didn’t know it at the time, but we were finding one of the first keys to our success…

We have also recently inaugurated the first water packaging plant in cardboard in the Dominican Republic, and we are in the process of inaugurating another one in the north of Italy in the third quarter of this year.
We also have upcoming projects in Qatar and Japan.

But what is our secret?
It’s not magic. It’s a detailed business plan.
More than 85% of the companies that close down do so because they did not have prior knowledge of what their business was going to be, or of its potential in the sector.

Today, having become a multinational after a lot of effort and work, we can say that we have some small tips to achieve business success.
And in commemoration of the European SME day we want to share them:
1. KNOW YOUR IDENTITY
As a brand, before showing the world who you are, first you have to know who you are.
Be authentic and consistent
As a brand you must be clear about your reason for being, your philosophy, the things that matter to you and your goals. These aspects should be at the core of all decisions and actions you take.
And as we have said before, you will find all this out in your business plan.
2. THE IMPORTANCE OF STORYTELLING
Once you have the first point clear, create your story.
It’s no use having the best story if you don’t know how to tell it.
Storytelling is a strategy that will allow you to create a story around your brand that will help you to generate an emotional bond with your audience.
In other words, there is nothing like a good story to make people empathise with you.
PERSONALITY, YOUR BEST ALLY
It is good to be inspired by others and to know what strategy your competitors follow on social networks, but avoid copying.
Have your own personality
It’s good to have references, but don’t play at being someone else. As in real life, there will be people who like you and others who don’t. The important thing is to create a community. The important thing is to create a community.
